PlotArea

This topic introduces the PlotArea Settings.

Below is a list of PlotArea attributes and functions:

Attribute Function

Chart Type

Sets the chart type. View supported chart types, by clicking the link.

If SeriesDefined are selected, then the chart type must be defined for each series in the Series tab. This should be done if dasharea contains several series. For example, some chart types can be combined within the same dasharea and then these must be defined for each series.

The other charts shown in this list are the ones that cannot be combined with any other chart type within the same chart, and therefore, these can only be selected in the PlotArea section and not for each series.

View 3D

Gives the chart a 3D effect.

Color Set

Sets the chart's color theme. The color themes are defined themes that cannot be altered, added, or deleted. However, a color set can be overwritten by setting specific colors for each series in the Series tab.

Data Point Selection

None, Single, or Multiple. Default is Single. If the series should be selectable, i.e to drill down to another chart, then Data Point Selection must be set to Single or Multiple. If set to None, the series will not be selectable.

Lighting

Enables/disables the lighting effect.

Shadow

Enables/disables the shadow effect.

Data Point Shadow

Data Point Bevel
